finally it's the end of an extremely tiring week. let's see what are some of the highlights of my week...
i think the most memorable thing about this week was the functions meeting we had on thursday. well first of all it was a half day for everyone cos of our achievements in rugby and bowling too if i'm not wrong. we were suppose to end school at 12.45 but mr wong decided to have a meeting after school. it was suppose to be from 1.30-3.30 but it dragged on till about 5.30. first we shared our ideas on the themes games and council item with the rest of the comm then we settled on a couple of things such as the theme (but not the catchphrase, gotta think of one soon...) and the setting.
then we also did the time plan and that was when it hit us all just how much there is to be done and how little time we have. and suddenly all of us felt the stress. especially evan shirley gary jordan and myself. us being the so called exco of functions and in my opinion have to put in that extra hard work and lead the rest of the comm. yes! we can do it. oh i'm doing the video with lynn! haha. hope that some of the j2 classes will be enthusiastic about it cos it's a great opportunity for them to thank their teachers. yup. lynn dear there's still so much i need to discuss with you regarding the video! haha. will call you soon.
after the meeting i was talking to eric and he was saying that all councillors now speak twice as fast as usual cos we're all just so busy! and i completely agree! haha. for me at least, i think i'm talking really fast and my normal speaking speed is already quite fast! today everyone was like huh speak slowly! haha. really sorry everyone i can't help it.
something quite unforgettable also happened this week! on wednesday serene and i were eating yong tau foo and i accidently dropped the tofu on the table. so we threw it into weiqin's empty seaweed bag. i was looking at it as mel was holding it then i suddenly thought why not try tricking someone into putting their hand into the bag and touching the tofu! haha. someone suggested amos but i was like amos is not gonna fall for that so i suggested josh sam. josh refused to put his hand into the bag cos it said wasabi on the seaweed packet and he doesn't like spicy stuff. even when all of us kept going it's not hot it's really not hot! josh just went yeah right. haha.
so someone was like chandra and mel went to chandra. and guess what?! chandra actually put his hand in and not only touched the tofu but also took the tofu out! oh my gosh. he held it in his hand, looked at it for a split second then dropped it into his curry with a shudder. of all places he had to fling the tofu to, it had to be in his curry (he was eating prata) and his shirt was stained. all the guys around him were like oi! haha. the girls were at the next table and we just burst out laughing really hard. haha. it was so funny!
then later in class we asked chandra why he took the tofu. he said he thought it was a marshmellow! hahaha. damn funny. then we asked why he practically threw the tofu into the curry and he was like cos i scared! derrick was like scared what, u thought bomb arh?! or mosquito, a big white mosquito! haha. mel and i were like what?!? and started laughing really loudly. haha.
oh yes happy belated birthday to yisheng, twin and lijian and happy birthday in advance to serene! love u guys loads. So7 rocks. and thank you ber and clar for the slippers! i love them! (:
today was especially tiring cos it was the last day of the week and we didn't have a break and all of us were just tired and hungry. after school manda twin weqin gerry joey josh sam lijian and i went to kovan for lunch. at first joey didn't want to join us, he wanted to go home. we were trying to persuade him to go and when we got to kovan he still wasn't convinced. all the girls got off the train and were like whining please joey?! until he gave in and joined us. just as the doors were closing. haha. we went to pizza hut for lunch cos i was just craving pizza. we ate until i was super full! haha. we left after lunch and i took the bus back with gerry cos gerry forgot to bring his ez link card and it was cheaper to travel by bus. haha.
and i got back super early and decided to make full use of what is most likely my last opportunity to slack. from next week onwards i think it's gonna be really really busy so yeah. but at the same time i'm really exited about teachers' day cos it's our first assignment and all of us really want to impress and do a fantastic job. yay. go functions!
